Description
While trying to put the pandemic in its place, it's tempting to think that this is how it will be now. However, three short months ago I painted on a beach on the Gulf of Mexico and the sun sailed down. I'd checked the weather and knew there was a storm approaching. There was a weird, electrifying zap of ions in the air; the kind that precede big downpours with thunder and lightning. Suddenly the bank of blue-grey clouds parted and the setting sun was reflected in the enormous cumulous clouds. Oh what a profile they provided! Working as quickly as I could, I was forced into some abstraction, which was a good thing. Don't let the pandemic get to you - look for the sun, and please be safe.
