Description
I was supposed to go to the launch but it got complicated with the timing and the dogs, so my husband went. It was wonderful to experience the launch vicariously and watch the launches video stream.
Good grief, the power, the sound, the blinding light. That hundreds of people would be there at 2 - something in the morning was just incredible. The flight will be manned in July; maybe I’ll try again.
From SpaceX: ”At 2:49 a.m. EST on March 2, SpaceX launched Crew Dragon’s first demonstration mission from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This test flight without crew on board the spacecraft is intended to demonstrate SpaceX’s capabilities to safely and reliably fly astronauts to and from the International Space Station as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program.”
