Description

Near an inlet close to Sarasota; teeming with egrets, manatees, sea gulls, turkey vultures and bass. A relaxing, very pleasant day.

I love to draw outside in the sun. The beautiful textures and very intimate relationship to the landscape is so immediate! This plein air was created on an archival grey ground with small fibers. I used Faber Castell color pencils, Faber Castell Rolychromos pasel pencils, Derwent pencils, 8B wash and a white conte crayon.
